Eat Stop Eat

by Michael Lindsay

Years ago, I was involved with a company that sold a “one day diet”. Kind of a wierd name but the product actually worked if you did their plan. I have always new that selective fasting should work. After all, over a period of time you are still getting some calorie deprivation. Finally, someone has come up with a plan that actually work! Sets forth guideline that are doable and does it along with a decent workout plan that most anyone can do that prevents you from losing muscle mass while dieting! What more can you ask for. Watch his video, then you decide if this product may be for you!

It is called Eat Stop Eat

I know, this is a short post but he gives you a lot of information on his website. And yes, if you decide to purchase, I will make a few bucks for sending you his way.

Take a look at the videos on his site at least. Great information in there even if you decide not to purchase.

Eat Stop Eat

Hope you have a very successful weight loss journey!

Facebook Ad Power

by Michael Lindsay

A little while ago, I purchased Ryan Deiss’ Facebook Ad Power. What a refreshing change to all the other BS that I have seen in other “training” courses of so called guru’s of Internet Marketing. Straightforward, to the point, and information that you can actually use!

Ryan’s Facebook Ad Power is one ot the best traffic training courses I have seen. He has already updated the info to make it even more current!

I know as a marketer we are supposed to put some kind of “urgency” in a post like this but the only urgency I see you need with this product is “It’s great info” and a real value for what the course costs. He has however taken it off the market once and may do it again. Why?

Ryan says that he simply doesn’t want too many people to ruin his best traffic honey hole.

Here is a link to his video (if it’s still up)

Facebook Ad Power video

The free video alone is nothing short of eye opening and a great lesson in video marketing.

Ryan explains SO many ways Facebook is better than Google, you’ll be shocked.

Center Mounted Pull Up Bar

by Michael Lindsay

I just got through reading a very interesting blog post by Steve Maxwell. Steve is an internationally known strength and conditioning coach. I really enjoy reading his posts which bring reality into the gym. My coach, CRay Knowles, is of much the same mindset and has helped me to dramatically improve my strength over the last year. Steve and CRay have worked together in the past and I can definitely see the resemblance in their styles. They both have a background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, hence, the emphasis on strength and conditioning at such an extreme level.

CRay and I became close friends before he finally convinced me to begin his body weight training program and I was amazed at some of the equipment that he was able to fashion. Most of the equipment in the gym, he either made or has modified. (That Engineering degree comes in handy if you use it).  After actually working out there over the last year, it has become apparent, that CRay’s equipment, simply works! These workouts are what many would call extreme. (I kid CRay by saying his motto should be, “We can get you in shape… if you can stand it!) His gym is noticeably missing nearly any sort of weights. We simply use body weight.

Steve’s latest blog post goes into great depth in explaining the use of the Center Mounted Pull Up Bar. I encourage you to click on the link and read this post. If you want to take your workouts to a new extreme, look no further. Steve and CRay have teamed up to bring you cutting edge equipment that is portable and can be used nearly anywhere. CRay designed the Center Mounted Pull Up Bar out of necessity. It had to be portable and easy to use while still giving one the ability to do a phenomenal workout. Steve had the same trouble finding a place to do pull ups while on the road as CRay did. So after using the Center Mounted Pull Up Bar in various ways, decided to offer it as his featured product on his Strength and Conditioning web site.

With the PS straps, you can do a wide variety of exercises on the Center Mounted Pull Up Bar. These include:

Chin-Ups
Suspended Push-Ups
Body Weight Rows
Ab Roll-Outs
Pec Flyes

CRay and Steve can, and probably will, come up with some other tortuous exercises that this thing can be used for!

Here’s an introductory video from Steve on the Center Mounted Pull Up Bar. Enjoy!

Oh, I nearly forgot, friends of Steve (all of us) can use the Valentines Day special they are running for a 20% discount. The offer code is listed on the front page of the site and will be taken off your order at checkout!

Here’s to taking your workouts with you and taking them up a notch!

Pushup Board workouts

by Michael Lindsay

About 6 months ago, I started working out with a great friend who introduce me to body weight workouts with particular attention to a LOT of pushups with a pushup board. I never realized that there were so many kinds of push ups possible. Overhanded, underhanded, hindu, dive through, scorpion, and more! Oh, you can use a pushup board to do more than just pushups too. One of the worst (or best as you may see it) is a bear squat. Lately, CRay has been, creating all sorts of new twists.

One of the best parts of working out with the pushup board is the variety that you can do with one simple piece of equipment. The seemingly infinite variety allows workouts to be changed ever so slightly. Each little change works the same muscles in a different way creating a much stronger body by challenging the muscle fibers is so many ways. It’s amazing that even after 6 months of working out 3 times a week (ok, so I didn’t quite make all of them) I still get sore every week! Just an indication to me that the workouts are still working.

Here’s a link to CRay’s new website where you can see some of his torture, I mean workout, equipment. Visit RipThatBod.com to see some REALLY cool workout gear designed to maximize your workouts in the least amount of time. CRay designed most if not all of it too! If you are ready to Rip that Bod, especially with a Pushup Board, this is the place to visit RipThatBod.com

Here’s a sample of just a few of the exercises that you can do with a Pushup Board Give it a try, you’ll be glad you did!

Blogging for Business

by Michael Lindsay

The Right Mindset Makes It Easy To Make Blogs Work For Your Business

Blogging is taking off like a wildfire. People are blogging about just about anything you can think of. From the daily routine of their cat, to technology reviews, to politics.

Until the blogosphere sorts itself out and matures a bit more, it may be difficult to tell exactly how this new frontier of instant publishing can help you and your business grow. But don’t worry – you’ll start getting a flood of new ideas in
the coming months.

For now, the most important thing you can do is develop the right mindset about business blogging. What you think about something, and how you strategize applying it in your business very often has more to do with success than the
technology, tool, or resource itself.

With that in mind, here is the most important thing you can do. Keep your eye on people.

DO NOT get stuck on the “technology.” That’s what drove all the pie-in-the-sky dot.com dreamers into the financial abyss. It’s people and personal communication that matter most, and should always be a the center of all your thoughts, strategies, and actions. A managed site lite QuanSite can help you stay focused on content instead of technology!

Blogging is just a tool. But it’s a tool that can and should become a major support arm of your business. Why?

Because it exponentially multiplies the world’s oldest, most favored, and trusted form of information sharing — word of mouth.

Just ask yourself, whom do you trust the most to give you advice, recommendations, and information about opportunities, purchases, or choices? Someone you know and trust, right? Someone who you feel is just like you.

That type of trust comes from personal communication, social interaction, and the joining together of like-minded individuals. Blogging simply magnifies and expands that sense of community and more personalized communication, and then expands the reach across the entire world!

Link trust; with respect, positioning, and word-of-mouth and you have the makings of a powerful marketing arm that can initiate an ever-growing stream of highly targeted prospects.

Remember, it’s the relationships that matter most. Keep your eye on that fact, and you’ll always have the right mindset for business blogging that’s a benefit for you and your readers.

Mental Notes

by Michael Lindsay

I don’t really have a clue where this list actually originated but it is attributed to the Anthony Robbins Organization. Regardless, here are 20 little notes that make a LOT of sense to me. Each one of these should probably be a separate blog post. (think I’ll start on that) Hope you enjoy.

ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other..

THREE.
Don’t believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

FOUR. When you say, ‘I love you,’ mean it.

FIVE. When you say, ‘I’m sorry,’ look the person in the eye.

SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight.

EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone’s dreams. People who don’t have dreams don’t have much.

NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it’s the only way to live life completely.

TEN.. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.

ELEVEN. Don’t judge people by their relatives.

TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly.

THIRTEEN. …. When someone asks you a question you don’t want to answer, smile and ask, ‘Why do you want to know?’

FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

FIFTEEN. Say ‘bless you’ when you hear someone sneeze.

SIXTEEN. When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.

SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R’s: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

EIGHTEEN. Don’t let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

NINETEEN. When you realize you’ve made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

TWENTY.Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.

Until next time,

Michael

Unity

by Michael Lindsay

Unity. What can it do for you? First, we must be in agreement before we can accomplish anything! I believe that this includes our thoughts as well as our relationships with others. Over and over in the the Bible, when men came together as one, or when God and man came into agreement, miracles occured.  God himself realized that man could accomplish anything if they were in one accord. Just look at the story of the Tower of Babel. When God saw that men were working together to build a tower to heaven, he caused them to speak in different languages in order to create discord. No longer could they work together as one.

How does this affect us individually? Our thoughts are quite a difficult thing to tame. We believe in the Law of Attraction, but doubt slips in. We know the power of visualization, but do we really visualize? Only when our mind is in accord and all our thoughts are in unity can we generate the kind of change that we need to bring the things we want into our lives.

I am speaking to myself as well as anyone else that may read this. Let us all keep our thoughts on the prize and take away all doubt. Sometimes, this will require you to find different “friends”. Find a coach, mentor, or simply a friend that can help keep your thoughts in unison with your desires.

Until next time.

It is time to blog

by Michael Lindsay

Ready To Unleash The Power Of Blogs in Your Business?

It’s been simmering below the surface for
years and now this power shift has finally boiled over into simultaneous national recognition.

Like
Goliath being slain with a lowly slingshot, the mainstream media (in the form
of Dan Rather) came to the undeniable realization that they were no longer in
control of information.

Within 30-minutes of that
now infamous TV special on “60-Minutes II” broadcast bloggers were digging into
the facts and questioning the validity of what had just been presented by the
42-year broadcast veteran. In less than one week, CBS admitted it could
“no longer vouch” for the memos. And just weeks after the election,
Rather announced his retirement and the blogosphere won another victory.

No matter what your
political affiliation is, this incident is one very public example of the power
of blogging. Blogging is quickly accelerating into a steeping, sloping growth
curve of popularity and application. ABC News selected Bloggers as “People of
the Year”, and Merriam-Webster declared “blog” its “word of the year.”

Putting the power of blogs to work for your business can have more an impact than you can imagine… and it’s easier than you might think.

It puts the power of
information and the impact of influence in the hands of the “average Joe”. It
makes instant publishing a reality regardless of your technical skill level.
And it’s a business growth tool that the savvy small business owner can no
longer afford to ignore.

The world’s oldest, most effective form of communication
and marketing on steroids!

So why is blogging gaining
popularity so quickly?  What’s the
attraction?  And why is it so darn
powerful?

The answer is quite simple
when you consider history and human nature.

Blogging is an unstoppable
technological force that exponentially multiplies the world’s oldest, most
favorite, and most trusted form of information sharing — word of mouth.

Think about it.  Who do you trust the most to give you advice,
recommendations, and information about opportunities, purchases, or choices?

If you’re like the vast
majority of people, it’s the opinion of someone you know and trust. Someone who
you feel is just like you. That type of trust comes from personal
communication, social interaction, and the joining together of like-minded
individuals.

Blogs and the blogging
community deliver all that — and more.

Now is the time to master
business blogging and put it to use for you! Do it before other proactive
business owners step into your ideal niche and muscle you out of this primetime
opportunity.

Low Information Diet

by Michael Lindsay

Several months ago, before our financial crisis had reached it’s peak, I happened to be on a conference call when the moderator made a statement that really got my attention. So much so that I wrote it down in my moleskine.  While this is probably not an actual quote, what I wrote down is this: “Only take in information that helps you reach your goals. Go on a low information diet.” I really wish I could remember who gave me this information because it has made a tremendous impact on me. Since I wrote it down, I have heard or seen the same recommendation nearly everywhere.  Most recently, it was in a blog by the publisher of Success Magazine Darren Hardy. Follow the link above for an outstanding article. My Pastor gave a wonderful sermon on why to limit what you take in.  If, by listening to the daily news, or reading the newspaper, or listening to talk radio, you get the feeling that the sky is falling, QUIT! Who says you have to watch an hour of news per day. Who says that it is imperative that you watch CNN every waking moment. Who says that your favorite talk show host has all the right answers! No-one, that’s who. As long as we take in this negative information, that’s what you will dwell on, and that’s what you will create in your life.

My personal philosophy over the last several years has been. “If something really bad is going to happen, someone will tell me about it.” Then I can get the details if I choose. There is way too much good in the world to concentrate only on the negative, and that’s exactly what the commercial news media is cramming down our throats. Again, my opinion is that, the news media has made this recession that we are in much worse than it had to be by creating a wave of panic and fear in our general population. Yes, we are in a recession, but we have had them before and we will have them again. It’s a part of our economic cycle. The Laws of Supply and Demand require them occasionally when supply gets ahead of demand. It is simply a fact of life.

If you beleive in the Law of Attraction, you will certainly agree with me on all these points. In order for us to attract the things that we want in life, that is what we need to concentrate on. That is nearly impossible when listening to too much negative information around us. Be thankfull.  Be full of gratitude! Look at what is good in the world instead of what is bad. This will certainly effect your personal life as well as your business life. Try to surround yourself with business associates that feel the same way and you will overcome this recession and in fact will grow through it. Remember, only take in information that is helping you to reach your goals!

Sorry to get on my soapbox but I needed to vent a little! Please leave comments. I always welcome hearing from my readers!

Michael
